Hamilton Gateway retail center includes a 54,000 sf. Safeway, 33,500 sf of retail in a separate building, and a 5,000 sf pad building for Novato. It is located near the decommissioned Hamilton Air Force base from which the retail center draws its design inspiration. The design of the Safeway building is sensitive to a hotel on its back side. Therefore, with simple sloping parapets and a curved metal screen to hide the refrigerator packs, it provides a good neighbor experience for those in the neighboring hotel.
