Kendall Yards is a planned downtown extension to Spokane on a 33-acre site overlooking the Spokane River and connecting to two iconic bridges. The first phase provides urban density with new urban living, offices, unique restaurants and retail in three-and four-story buildings that incorporate materials native to the northwest. 180 apartment units and 125,000 sf of corporate and professional office space are over 375,000 sf of lifestyle retail in the mixed-use development. Attention is given to the pedestrian-scaled streetscape with pocket gardens, an outdoor amphitheater, and a park for weekly farmers' markets. A new walking/bicycle trail connects to downtown and the length of the river.
