Adooration
2010 - fir, beech, casine, dyes - 12"x39"x14"
Adooration looks at the three-dimensional path that a door traces when hung at alternative points of contact. Doors are entries or exits from one room to another, from our past to our future. The transom becomes our present. What occurs when our expectation of transition is altered? Do we reshape ourselves or change our nature to conform to the new opening at present, or do we remain locked in the past?
