The Plym Traveling Fellowship
University of Illinois
Randy Dixon, Art + Architecture
I was awarded the Plym Traveling Fellowship by the University of Illinois in 1986 based on my accumulated body of architectural work completed before I was 35. I used the four-month travel period in Europe to research the development of early Christian Worship spaces and its antecedents. My hand-drawn, pen-and-ink illustrations (included) are examples from my report. They are made from on-site sketches of my travels.
