Bridgeview Medical Center
Bridgeview, Illinois

Bridgeview Medical Center is organized into two distinct volumes. The smaller volume comprises the public-oriented spaces including the community education reading room, reception area, and multipurpose classroom/ conference space. This portion of the building can be open for use, independent of the clinical spaces, for evening and weekend activities.
The larger volume contains a loop corridor that efficiently organizes four medical specialty groups, each with inboard exam rooms and corresponding outboard physician offices. Large interior exam rooms are day-lighted with clerestory windows. The public-oriented volume and medical specialty volume are joined by a taller, naturally lighted, central circulation spine that is anchored at either end by an adult waiting area, and a children's play space.
